Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, or a professional qualification.
- Have more than 5–6 years of working experience, preferably in an accounting firm and/or multinational corporation.
- Have experience with all facets of monthly accounting cycles and procedures, including financial reporting.
- Know relevant accounting practices and principles.
- Be proficient in English.
- Be skilled in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- SAP user knowledge and SOX experience are an added advantage.
- Have strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Have strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask.
- Be able to work independently and communicate effectively with management and staff at all levels.
- Have advanced client-service skills and the ability to train and mentor others.
Responsibilities
- Review high-risk journal entries and supporting documentation.
- Review key account reconciliations to support accurate reporting.
- Prioritize activities to meet close deadlines.
- Ensure adherence to company financial reporting requirements.
- Balance books and prepare P&L, income, and/or balance sheet statements as necessary.
- Maintain receipts and disbursement reports.
- Coordinate, develop, issue, review, and update business-unit accounting and operating policies.
