Requirements
- Have 6+ years of experience in software development and operating distributed systems.
- Be proficient in Python, Go, or a similar language.
- Have proven experience building and operating large-scale continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Have experience using and extending containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes.
- Have expertise in cloud infrastructure platforms, including AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Azure.
- Understand Linux operating system internals and networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, and routing.
- Be able to work East Coast hours.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to a continuous deployment experience that enables rapid and reliable shipment of MongoDB products.
- Contribute to open-source projects or develop software-based approaches, such as Kubernetes operators, to streamline processes.
- Own the onboarding flow engineering teams follow when launching a new product or service.
- Collaborate with Platform Engineering teams to provide a consistent service-onboarding experience.
- Provide internal support for deployment systems by answering questions and addressing issues.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to resolve deployment infrastructure issues.
