Job Details

Requirements

  • Be a mid-level healthcare regulatory attorney.
  • Have experience at a top law firm or healthcare organization.
  • HealthTech or healthcare technology experience is extra credit.
  • IDR or No Surprises Act dispute work is extra credit.
  • Experience working directly with state or federal regulators is extra credit.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on billing and reimbursement questions and set Pivotal’s position in how it approaches health plans.
  • Negotiate directly with health plans to resolve payment disputes and recover what providers are owed.
  • Define how the company collects on arbitration awards and make the process repeatable as volume grows.
  • Evaluate litigation strategies and develop pre-litigation plans for when and how to escalate.
  • Translate healthcare regulatory requirements into systems, tools, and platform features with product and operations teams.
  • Review and negotiate vendor agreements, BAAs, NDAs, and MSAs alongside the Deputy General Counsel.
  • Create workflows and templates for a growing legal team.
  • Advise the business on general legal matters.
