Requirements
- Have 3+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- Have built and operated distributed systems in AWS or other cloud environments.
- Be comfortable with a statically typed, compiled language such as Go, Rust, C++, or Java.
- Bring experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, nix, PostgreSQL, Kafka, or gRPC as additional relevant experience.
- Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog or Honeycomb is a plus.
- Experience with internal developer platforms or builder tooling is a plus.
- Experience with networking, infrastructure, or security-focused systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve the systems engineers use to develop, test, deploy, and operate ngrok.
- Automate operational workflows and build systems that scale under production load.
- Improve reliability and engineering productivity through tooling and smoother workflows.
- Contribute to builder tools, deployment systems, CI/CD infrastructure, and internal abstractions.
- Improve observability, reliability, and incident response processes to help maintain production uptime.
- Mentor teammates and contribute technical direction.
- Help evolve the platform's architecture and operational maturity.
