Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Pharmaceutical Sales, or a related field.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of sales experience in the animal health or pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience calling on and managing distributor accounts.
- Experience managing a geographically large sales territory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Advanced experience using CRMs to drive sales.
- Must reside within the assigned territory.
- Up to 90% travel.
Responsibilities
- Meet sales objectives and quotas for key growth products through demand generation within the assigned territory.
- Successfully launch new products and defend legacy products.
- Build and demonstrate relevant technical knowledge, verbal fluency, and veterinary practice expertise.
- Build effective relationships with targeted hospitals and personnel to maintain and grow account relevance and access.
- Develop and execute a Territory Business Plan and resource allocation, implementing PRN resources and following up to maximize ROI.
- Meet field activity expectations, including sales calls and investment in medical education programs.
- Develop and execute account- and veterinarian-level call cycles to meet reach and frequency expectations.
- Use CRM tools to enhance customer relationships.
- Lead by example and mentor the sales team in driving sales objectives, goals, and targets.
