Requirements
- Have 10+ years of experience as a Medical Writer, Regulatory Writer, or in a closely related medical writing discipline.
- Bring strong expertise in management, resource planning, budgeting, and operational initiatives.
- Have experience leading or supporting change management and project management initiatives.
- Demonstrate the ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives in complex organizational environments.
- Have experience with resource management, performance metrics, and operational tracking.
- Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to identify gaps and translate them into practical improvements.
- Bring stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Work effectively with senior leaders, therapy area stakeholders, internal teams, contractors, and external vendors.
- Organize and prioritize multiple strategic and operational initiatives in a changing environment.
Responsibilities
- Support senior leadership in developing and implementing initiatives that strengthen the strategic role of medical writing across therapy area heads and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Contribute to departmental planning and resource allocation across the medical writing organization.
- Identify opportunities for centralized resourcing and workload planning to optimize costs, effectiveness, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Develop and propose solutions for metrics, performance tracking, and optimization across employees, contractors, and vendors.
- Partner with leadership to identify process gaps, simplification opportunities, and continuous improvement areas.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve efficiency and support the department's growth-oriented strategy.
- Support long-range planning and annual operating plan activities.
- Contribute to strategic, operational, and transformation initiatives based on evolving business priorities.
