Requirements
- Bring strong computer science fundamentals.
- Have 2+ years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer.
- Have programming experience in an object-oriented language such as Java.
- Develop and deliver clean, readable code with thorough documentation and testing.
- Understand existing designs and technology choices and make appropriate adjustments when necessary.
- Nice to have experience with payments, fintech, or accounting and ledger systems.
- Nice to have experience with AWS technologies.
- Nice to have experience with end-to-end service ownership, including infrastructure maintenance.
- Nice to have familiarity with infrastructure-as-code technologies, CI/CD, and observability tools such as DataDog.
Responsibilities
- Deliver software projects from design through implementation and rollout.
- Translate ideas into clear, well-documented, well-tested code for ledger and money-movement platforms.
- Navigate a large, complex codebase and contribute to test development and bug fixing.
- Decompose problems and business scenarios into solutions involving multiple interacting software components.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and on-call rotations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and teammates.
- Identify and advocate for ways to improve projects and processes.
- Support the mentorship of new hires, interns, or more junior engineers.
