Requirements
- Have 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale.
- Have experience with backend languages such as Python or Kotlin.
- Have a track record developing highly available distributed systems.
- Have experience with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Have hands-on experience building marketing data and measurement systems using Google Tag Manager (GTM/sGTM), GA4, advertising and conversion APIs, customer data platforms (CDPs), attribution or mobile measurement platforms, and consent management platforms.
- Have experience building production data pipelines and analytical models using Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow.
- Have experience with event-level data, identity resolution, attribution, or conversion measurement.
- Be able to define technical plans for significant features or system components with elegant, simple, extensible designs.
- Write high-quality code that is easily understood and used by others.
- Be proficient at making significant changes in a large codebase using practices and tools that enable safe changes.
- Demonstrate ownership of professional growth and proactively seek feedback.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with the global engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Build data and measurement foundations connecting consumer acquisition activity across paid media, SEO/AEO, and other growth channels to downstream outcomes.
- Develop reliable pipelines, identity and event data systems, attribution and conversion measurement, and integrations across marketing and data ecosystems.
- Incorporate consent, tagging, identity, and consumer-data requirements into measurement architecture in partnership with Engineering, Product, Marketing, Analytics, and Data Engineering.
- Own and deliver quarterly team goals, leading engineers through ambiguity and supporting delivery.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics during ideation, technical planning, and decisions involving risks and trade-offs.
- Identify and lead resolution of project, process, technology, and business issues.
- Create and monitor operational metrics, escalate issues, and support availability, on-call, and keep-the-lights-on work.
- Set and improve code review and design standards, and share practices through writing and tech talks.
- Develop team talent through feedback, guidance, and leading by example.
