Requirements
- Have at least 1.5 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Have experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems.
- Be proficient in Python or Kotlin.
- Be familiar with distributed systems building blocks.
- Have familiarity with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Have experience designing, developing, and launching APIs at scale using Python or Kotlin.
- Be able to translate a problem or business scenario into a solution involving multiple software components.
- Write clear, well-tested, understandable, and extensible code.
- Be comfortable navigating a large codebase and debugging other engineers' code.
- Provide feedback to engineers through code reviews.
- Have a related bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Break larger projects into individual tasks and deliver them in multiple phases.
- Collaborate with others to ensure timely delivery of work.
- Work with product management, design, and analytics throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Articulate technical constraints and contribute to decisions that consider risks and trade-offs.
- Create and monitor metrics for team artifacts and escalate issues when needed.
- Support service availability, operational maintenance, and on-call efforts.
- Participate in the interview process.
