Requirements
- Have 4+ years of experience in a legal administrative support role to an attorney.
- Demonstrate knowledge of legal terminology, concepts, forms, documents, practices, and procedures.
- Have experience working with corporate governance boards or demonstrate working knowledge of corporate governance and compliance requirements.
- Unionized-environment experience, including familiarity with labor relations processes, union representation, and collective bargaining agreements, is preferred.
- Be proficient in PowerPoint and other applications, with the ability to configure templates and workflows.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Have strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrate commitment to racial justice and equity.
Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain legal matter files, board governance documents, correspondence, templates, policies, protocols, and personnel and labor relations files.
- Process litigation holds, discovery materials, legal correspondence, and filings.
- Format and help prepare correspondence, memos, reports, and presentations.
- Prepare materials for governing boards and staff, including presentations, training materials, resolutions, minutes, and charters.
- Monitor filings, registrations, and submissions required for nonprofit compliance, governance, and corporate good standing.
- Identify and analyze relevant multistate and federal administrative, regulatory, and tax agency requirements and regulations.
- Coordinate with the People & Culture Team on labor and employee relations matters, including collective bargaining agreement compliance, grievances, workplace investigations, and employment policies.
- Develop project timelines, prioritize assignments, anticipate needs, meet deadlines, and perform complex administrative tasks.
- Coordinate travel, itineraries, meetings, and events, and submit related expense reimbursement requests.
