Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field, or have equivalent experience.
- Have six years of related financial analysis experience.
- Demonstrate ability to conduct cost-benefit and alternative analysis.
- Be proficient in spreadsheet applications and mainframe accounting systems.
- Have knowledge of financial and operational planning processes and best practices.
- Demonstrate analytical, business, and problem-solving skills.
- Have strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Be able to multitask and work under strict deadlines.
- Demonstrate ability to navigate complex organizational situations and work with multiple stakeholders.
- Have strong Excel experience.
- Experience in insurance, optometry, ophthalmology, or traditional medical FP&A is preferred.
- Financial system experience with SAP, Oracle Planning, Acumatica, Power BI, Workday, or Paylocity is preferred.
- For remote or hybrid roles, demonstrate engagement in virtual environments, including maintaining camera presence during meetings.
- Have a clean credit history as reported by a credit report.
Responsibilities
- Research and analyze corporate business and financial information to support strategic direction.
- Analyze fluctuations in financial and business results, identify trends and variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Compare actual financial results with budgeted amounts and advise management on potential cost impacts.
- Assist in preparing company budgets, financial forecasts, and business plans.
- Monitor department expenses and identify trends to support cost control.
- Recommend changes to accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and resource utilization.
- Prepare reports on company income, expenses, earnings, and financial position.
- Interpret financial reports and statistics for management and recommend actions.
- Apply developments in financial planning and control to recommend improvements to financial systems and processes.
