- Have a bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Have 6+ years of experience in business operations, with substantial exposure to optometric practices.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of optometric practice operations.
- Be able to assess businesses and identify areas for deeper analysis or profit opportunities.
- Demonstrate analytical and strategic problem-solving and decision-making, considering business issues, risks, and rewards.
- Be able to elicit cooperation, motivate others, and drive results without direct authority.
- Have business aptitude to support strategic planning and measurement of results.
- Have strong verbal communication and presentation skills for addressing groups and facilitating discussions.
- For remote or hybrid roles, maintain engagement in virtual environments, including camera presence during meetings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial reviews of member P&L statements to assess business health and identify areas for further exploration.
- Use knowledge of practice management, staffing, and optical operations to identify patterns, inefficiencies, and opportunities.
- Present dashboards and reports comparing financial and operational metrics with industry benchmarks.
- Advise members on general business strategies and recommend next steps for deeper analysis in marketing, optical, or revenue cycle domains.
- Collaborate with specialized team members to provide continuity of support and hand off members needing niche expertise.
- Provide feedback and resources to improve workflow, optimize performance, and reduce costs.
- Research and develop recommendations based on business unit or practice needs.
- Analyze metrics and trends to deliver data-driven insights for decision-making.
- Teach or facilitate training sessions, present webinars, and create content articles on general business topics.
