Requirements
- Have 7 to 15 years of software engineering experience.
- Have direct experience managing engineers.
- Be proficient with React, TypeScript, and Python.
- Have experience building customer-facing products.
- Have experience integrating AI tools such as Claude or Cursor into engineering workflows.
- Have startup experience; early-stage startup experience is a plus.
- Be familiar with Java, PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD.
- Experience with Kotlin or Go is useful.
- Be able to work US time zones.
- Be able to travel up to 10%.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of 3 to 7 software engineers.
- Support engineers' career growth and development.
- Partner with product and cross-functional teams to define and deliver the technical roadmap for core products.
- Spend approximately 20% to 30% of time coding, reviewing code, and shaping system architecture.
- Guide architectural decisions to support scalable, performant, maintainable systems.
- Promote strong standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and engineering ownership.
