Requirements
- Provide a portfolio of original illustration work showing a cute, playful, kid-friendly, or product-design sensibility.
- Have working proficiency in Adobe Illustrator for native illustration.
- Be able to match and extend an existing art style so new pieces fit naturally alongside original work.
- Translate written and verbal creative direction into finished work.
- Finish assigned pieces independently, from handoff through completion.
- Reliably meet deadlines while managing several pieces at once.
- Experience preparing print or production files to spec is a plus.
- Familiarity with the children's, educational, or consumer-product space is a plus.
- Comfort with Notion, ClickUp, and file organization is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Create original artwork and complete sets in Hadley Designs' established style across product lines.
- Draw characters, motifs, patterns, and scenes suited to a cute, kid-friendly aesthetic.
- Turn the Chief Creative Officer's concepts and creative direction into finished, production-ready product designs.
- Carry designs from initial handoff through final build-out.
- Create variations and build designs across full product sets.
- Prepare print and production files to spec, and build mockups and product previews for listings.
- Maintain the living style reference and keep artwork consistent across product sets.
- Provide occasional support for A+ content, storefront updates, CMYK ad images, and revisions to existing product lines.
