Requirements
- Complete commercial vocational training, for example as a tax clerk, industrial clerk, or in a comparable field.
- Practical experience in accounting, particularly financial accounting and monthly and annual closing.
- Confident use of DATEV and Excel.
- Strong knowledge of HGB accounting.
- Sound understanding of German tax regulations, particularly VAT.
- Work in a structured, careful, and independent manner.
- Communicate confidently in German and English, including on complex tax and accounting matters.
- A Bilanzbuchhalter:in (IHK) qualification is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Manage ongoing financial accounting independently.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB.
- Reconcile balance sheet and profit-and-loss accounts and maintain accurate account records.
- Handle accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and settlements between company entities.
- Prepare VAT returns and address other tax matters with the external tax advisor.
- Work with auditors, tax advisors, and internal contacts.
- Contribute to the development and digitalization of finance processes.
- Prepare reports and analyses and present relevant information clearly.
