Requirements

  • Have 6-10+ years of experience as a software engineer.
  • Have leadership responsibilities and experience mentoring junior engineers.
  • Have experience architecting, building, launching, coding, and maintaining complex systems.
  • Be able to work with cross-functional Product, ML, Analytics, and Business teams.
  • Bring technical leadership and team-building experience, including mentoring on software development best practices.
  • Be able to synthesize complex business, product, and technical requirements into system designs and software.
  • Be able to decompose business and product requirements into system modules or components.
  • Have equivalent practical experience or a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute large cross-functional initiatives, including project definition, technical specifications, task breakdown, delivery, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Design simple, elegant systems that are easy to deploy and debug while accounting for unhappy paths.
  • Write high-quality code that others can understand and reuse.
  • Review others’ work and provide constructive feedback to maintain consistent quality standards.
  • Lead and mentor engineers, provide context, and help them take ownership of initiative components.
  • Incorporate stakeholder needs and opinions, advocate for ideas, and create shared understanding.
  • Conduct technical and soft-skill evaluations to inform hiring decisions.
  • Develop and review technical content and requirements for the interview process.
