Requirements
- Have 7+ years of software engineering experience.
- Bring a strong full-stack engineering background and be able to evaluate AI output across the stack and contribute code.
- Have hands-on experience transforming your software development workflow with AI and be able to show what you built and measured.
- Have proven experience deploying AI-assisted development practices within an engineering team.
- Be familiar with agentic coding tools, LLM-powered code review, prompt engineering for development workflows, and MCP ecosystems.
- Be able to make evidence-based recommendations and explain trade-offs to engineers at different experience levels.
- Be comfortable working in a remote-first, async culture with teams across multiple time zones.
- Communicate clearly in English.
- Demonstrate autonomy and ownership while bringing others along.
Responsibilities
- Define and own Filigran’s AI-Native engineering strategy, including tools, workflows, practices, and how they evolve.
- Run structured experiments with AI coding tools and agents, measure their impact on velocity and quality, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Build guardrails and engineering standards for maintainable, tested, and consistent AI-generated code.
- Work with product engineering teams to embed AI practices into day-to-day workflows, including AI-assisted code review, test generation, and documentation.
- Run internal talks, workshops, and demos to share results and lessons learned.
- Track changes in AI tooling and identify what is relevant to Filigran’s engineering teams.
- Build shared AI engineering capabilities, including agent workflows in CI pipelines, MCP servers, prompt libraries, and versioned AI configuration.
- Contribute to written rules for tools and data handling that apply across teams.
- Contribute to external communications on AI-Native engineering through blog posts, open-source contributions, and conference talks.
