Requirements

  • Be a registered clinical psychologist or qualified counsellor, with current registration in your jurisdiction.
  • Hold a master's degree in clinical psychology, counselling or a related field.
  • Have three to five years of experience in clinical case management, ideally within EAP, corporate wellbeing or a high-acuity mental health setting.
  • Have experience managing complex, high-risk cases from assessment to closure, holding decision-making responsibility rather than an advisory role.
  • Have experience with structured return-to-work, fitness-for-work or occupational mental health pathways.
  • Have experience contributing to clinical protocols, risk frameworks or SOPs and working within strict guidelines.
  • Have experience managing stakeholders in a corporate or large-organisation client-facing role.
  • Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain clinical concepts to non-clinical stakeholders and produce client-facing clinical documentation in written English.
  • Be based in Australia with the right to work.
  • AHPRA registration is desirable.
  • Understanding of fly-in fly-out and mining culture, Australian psychosocial risk and work health and safety obligations, and multi-stakeholder coordination is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of high-risk cases, from handover after initial risk assessment through escalation, support, fitness-for-work assessment and case closure.
  • Monitor care requests, assign cases to approved clinicians, and coordinate therapy scheduling, documentation and follow-up.
  • Align support plans with client contacts and treating clinicians, oversee implementation, track progress and coordinate plan adjustments.
  • Review and sign off risk assessments, confirm risk tiering, set monitoring requirements and make clinical decisions required by the pathway.
  • Co-develop and maintain clinical protocols, risk frameworks and SOPs for client on-site teams.
  • Initiate and coordinate fitness-for-work assessments, communicate outcomes and develop reintegration plans with client contacts.
  • Serve as the named clinical contact for client chaplaincy, medical and health and safety leads on individual cases.
  • Produce case trackers and monthly clinical reports, present clinical insights and recommendations, and design and deliver clinical training.
