Requirements
- Have 4+ years of experience designing digital products or marketing interfaces.
- Bring deep Figma skills, including libraries, components, variants, auto layout, and tokens.
- Be comfortable working within an established design system and maintaining its structure and documentation.
- Provide a portfolio of shipped web work that shows design reasoning as well as final screens.
- Stay current on UI patterns and conventions, and use judgment when considering trends.
- Ground design decisions in research and analytics, and explain the reasoning behind them.
- Present your own work to stakeholders and respond to questions and pushback.
- Have a working understanding of front-end implementation and design system components that a back-end team can develop.
- Communicate clearly with engineers, product teams, and non-designer stakeholders.
- Be interested in AI tools and test new tools, particularly AI capabilities in Figma.
- Prototyping and interaction design skills are a nice to have.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and their impact on component design is a nice to have.
Responsibilities
- Design and ship UI across the consumer side of netgear.com, from wireframe through developer-ready handoff.
- Create designs for campaign and product landing pages, category and listing pages, product detail pages, media and content pages, and product finder tools.
- Build with the atomic web design system, extend it with new components, and keep new work consistent with the existing system.
- Maintain Figma libraries, including components, variants, and tokens, and keep them documented and usable.
- Work with the front-end team to check feasibility, hand off implementable designs, and review designs in staging.
- Use website analytics and consumer insights research to inform design decisions.
- Collaborate with the Graphic Designer and Integrated Marketing Manager to align site work with campaign work.
- Give occasional advisory design direction to teams maintaining their own pages.
- Work with the app team to maintain visual consistency across web and app.
