Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Have approximately 3–5+ years of experience developing Power BI solutions.
- Demonstrate experience in dashboard development, data modeling, reporting, and analytics.
- Understand Power BI architecture, data modeling, development frameworks, and implementation best practices.
- Be proficient in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query, and data visualization techniques.
- Have experience developing interactive dashboards, reports, semantic models, datasets, and data refresh solutions.
- Have knowledge of SQL Server, database design, and data integration concepts.
- Have experience with Power Apps, Power Pages, and Power Automate.
- Analyze complex problems and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Work independently and collaboratively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and other collaborators.
- Preferred: a master’s degree, organizational change management familiarity or certifications, and Human-Centered Design experience.
- Section 508 accessibility knowledge is an advantage; government contracting or Department of War experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and stakeholder needs to identify appropriate reporting, dashboard, and data visualization solutions.
- Design, develop, and modernize Power BI semantic models, datasets, dashboards, reports, and automated reporting capabilities.
- Build interactive dashboards, reports, data models, and visualizations that translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Use Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query, and Microsoft Power Platform tools to deliver data solutions.
- Integrate Power BI solutions with SharePoint, SQL Server, cloud services, databases, and other enterprise systems.
- Use Power Apps, Power Pages, and Power Automate to support workflow automation, reporting, documentation, and business processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to validate requirements and align solutions with user needs.
- Conduct unit, integration, and system testing to verify functionality, data accuracy, reliability, and quality.
- Troubleshoot dashboards, reports, datasets, data models, data refreshes, and related applications; provide ongoing support and maintenance.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for SharePoint solutions and related systems.
