Have proven experience shipping LLM-based products to production, including prompt architecture, conversation state machines, retrieval, evaluations, moderation, and safety handling.
Bring strong backend engineering experience with Python, FastAPI or a similar framework, SQL/PostgreSQL, and AWS.
Be comfortable owning infrastructure, CI/CD, and production operations independently.
Have solid React Native and React experience and be able to ship and debug on iOS and Android.
Have experience with in-app purchase flows on both mobile stores and Stripe on web.
Use agentic coding tools in daily development and exercise judgment to review and own their output.
Demonstrate product sensibility for mobile and web UX, including identifying and fixing layout, copy, and flow issues.
Have a track record of owning a product or major system end-to-end with minimal technical oversight.
Be able to communicate in writing with a non-technical founder.
Show experience or demonstrable seriousness around privacy, security, and access controls for personal or health data.
Work comfortably as the only engineer initially, learning a codebase with limited as-built documentation.

Own prompting, conversation state and progression, Pinecone retrieval, model selection and evaluation, and the AI Coach safety and crisis layer.
Test the AI Coach against scripted clinical scenarios and build evaluation harnesses for automated scenario-suite testing.
Own the backend using Python 3.12, FastAPI, GraphQL (Strawberry), SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
Deliver mobile and web features using React Native for iOS and Android and React for web.
Own App Store, Google Play, and Stripe subscription flows.
Build and operate CI/CD, environments, signing credentials, monitoring, backups, and rollback processes.
Ship small, frequent, reversible releases with monitoring and rollback in place.
Translate technical decisions and delivery plans into plain language for the founder and clinical team.
