Requirements
- Have 7+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Strategy, Health Informatics, or a related role driving software product development.
- Bring deep healthcare industry knowledge and experience identifying market gaps and delivering complex software products or platforms in healthcare environments.
- Work collaboratively across sales, marketing, design, and engineering to move products from conception to market realization.
- Have consultative experience facilitating meetings and communications with executive-level clients, prospects, and partners.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and a creative, solution-oriented mindset.
- Be self-driven, proactive, and results-oriented, with effective time management and written and verbal communication skills.
- Healthcare interoperability familiarity, including FHIR, HL7 v2, and CDA, is an asset.
- Knowledge of LOINC, SNOMED, ICD-10, RESTful API standards, or modern stack architectures including Java, Kubernetes, Postgres, and Kafka is an asset.
- Experience collaborating with engineering and architecture teams in cloud-native environments is an asset.
- Familiarity with CI/CD or software release cycles is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Identify unmet healthcare market opportunities and design product capabilities to address them.
- Define product strategy and positioning for Smile’s platform components with the Director of Product Management.
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, marketing, and leadership to design, develop, market, sell, and implement products.
- Partner with Technical Product Managers to guide prioritization and translate business needs into development backlogs.
- Conduct competitive research and market analysis to identify product differentiators.
- Support development of product communications, sales strategies, training, and internal and external demonstrations.
- Conduct webinars and present at industry events to build product awareness and adoption.
- Present product features and roadmaps to internal teams and external customers, and hold customer conversations to validate strategic direction.
- Champion healthcare data capabilities and keep platform features relevant to payer and provider workflows.
