Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s degree.
- Have at least 5 years of relevant experience in process analysis, business process reengineering, process improvement, consulting, or a related discipline.
- Have hands-on experience using Python to prepare and analyze process data.
- Have hands-on experience using SQL to query, join, and validate datasets.
- Have experience documenting current-state and future-state processes and identifying root causes, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
- Have experience creating SOPs, workflow diagrams, RACI matrices, templates, job aids, or similar process artifacts.
- Be able to work independently in ambiguous environments, learn unfamiliar business processes, ask discovery questions, and produce clear documentation.
- Demonstrate analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Be able to complete the background investigation, suitability, credentialing, and system-access requirements for a Moderate Risk Public Trust position.
- Federal consulting or professional-services experience is preferred.
- A Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or comparable process-improvement certification or training is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or comparable process-mapping tools is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint/Microsoft 365, data and API concepts, or similar modernization technologies is preferred.
- Hands-on experience using generative AI or LLM tools for process analysis, research, documentation, or process redesign is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Review current-state workflows and document process steps, handoffs, controls, bottlenecks, and root causes.
- Use Python and SQL to prepare, query, analyze, and validate process data.
- Measure cycle time, error rates, workload, and other process performance indicators.
- Design future-state workflows that simplify processes, reduce administrative effort, and define roles and responsibilities.
- Identify opportunities for automation, digital forms, integrated tools, and AI-enabled capabilities.
- Develop SOPs, workflow diagrams, RACI matrices, templates, job aids, and implementation documentation.
- Support pilot testing by collecting performance and user-feedback data, documenting findings, and helping refine processes.
- Maintain process documentation and ensure deliverables align with applicable policies, internal controls, accessibility requirements, and federal standards.
- Collaborate with transformation leaders, business analysts, technical stakeholders, and operational teams to turn findings into practical improvements.
