Requirements

  • Have 8+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Have a proven track record of leading teams and providing technical direction.
  • Have experience on Platform, Infrastructure, or Developer Experience (DevEx) teams.
  • Bring professional expertise in the Node.js and TypeScript ecosystem.
  • Have experience scaling Nest.js backends and React.js frontends.
  • Have hands-on experience managing containerized workloads with Kubernetes and ArgoCD.
  • Have strong PostgreSQL proficiency, including query optimization and schema design.
  • Have strong Kafka proficiency and experience with event-driven architecture.
  • Be able to untangle complex legacy code and replace it with scalable, maintainable architecture.
  • Be able to translate ambiguous technical frustrations into prioritized roadmaps.
  • Have a history of mentoring and developing associate and intermediate engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Interview engineering teams to identify workflow pain points and prioritize tools or architectural changes.
  • Design and implement reusable patterns with Nest.js, React.js, and TypeScript.
  • Optimize PostgreSQL queries and refine Kafka producer and consumer patterns for reliable message delivery.
  • Own and evolve Kubernetes and ArgoCD configurations for automated, safe deployments.
  • Lead cross-team technical challenges, including shared-library re-architecture and service-to-service communication improvements.
  • Refactor complex codebases into maintainable, testable modules.
  • Mentor and coach engineers on technical skills and core architecture.
  • Research, prototype, and roll out internal tools, libraries, or frameworks for CI/CD, local development, or observability.
  • Introduce frameworks and architectural changes, supporting adoption with documentation, workshops, and one-on-one guidance.
  • Lead code reviews and communicate technical trade-offs across functions.
