Requirements
- Have 5+ years of experience building production services and APIs in a modern cloud environment.
- Be proficient with Go (Golang) or ready to ramp up quickly.
- Have experience designing, implementing, and evolving public APIs used internally and externally across multiple products or services.
- Understand API versioning, backwards compatibility, authentication, and usability through real-world experience.
- Be familiar with microservices and cloud-native architectures.
- Have experience with containers and Kubernetes.
- Understand how to build observable and resilient services in production.
- Be able to collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers across multiple product lines.
- Be self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity in a remote startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve customer-facing backend services and public APIs used across Chainguard products.
- Understand how different products and customer segments use shared platform capabilities.
- Own features from design through implementation, rollout, and iteration.
- Partner with Product Management and the Experience team to ship features.
- Create technical design documents and drive design plans.
- Help prioritize roadmap tradeoffs and ship iteratively.
