Requirements
- Have 5+ years of experience building production services and APIs in a modern cloud environment.
- Be proficient in Go (Golang) or ready to ramp up quickly.
- Have experience designing, implementing, and evolving public APIs used internally and externally across products or services.
- Understand API versioning, backward compatibility, authentication, and usability through real-world experience.
- Be familiar with microservices and cloud-native architectures.
- Be familiar with containers and Kubernetes.
- Understand how to build observable and resilient production services.
- Have prior experience building platform or shared services spanning multiple products or customer experiences (preferred).
- Have experience in cloud-native, containers, or security ecosystems, or the broader CNCF space (preferred).
- Have meaningful open source contributions, especially as a maintainer or regular contributor (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve customer-facing backend services and public APIs.
- Understand how products and customer segments use shared platform capabilities.
- Own features from design through implementation, rollout, and iteration.
- Partner with Product Management and the Experience team to ship features.
- Create technical design documents and drive design plans.
- Help prioritize tradeoffs and deliver iteratively against deadlines.
