Requirements
- Have 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Bring hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Have frontend experience with React or Next.js and solid knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Have experience with Kubernetes and/or Docker and familiarity with modern cloud-native development practices; AWS experience is preferred.
- Understand scalable distributed systems, common design patterns, and core computer science principles.
- Have experience with OAuth 2.0, JWTs, user session management, and secure application development.
- Have experience designing, building, testing, and maintaining web and mobile applications.
- Produce clean, maintainable, well-documented code supported by thorough testing.
- Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the ability to understand existing architectures and make appropriate improvements.
- Communicate technical decisions and trade-offs clearly in writing and verbally.
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams and deliver projects successfully.
- Experience in payments or fintech, Snowflake or other big-data analytics platforms, or stream-processing architectures is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance software for large-scale financial applications.
- Own defined features and components while contributing to quarterly engineering objectives and product milestones.
- Lead technical design for medium-sized components and features, and contribute to larger initiatives.
- Develop software and infrastructure that support reliable releases through automation and improved engineering workflows.
- Investigate, debug, and resolve production issues across services, application layers, and infrastructure.
- Partner with product stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into technical solutions.
- Analyze complex data, identify patterns, and document technical information for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Review and adjust existing designs and technology decisions as business or technical requirements evolve.
- Share knowledge, provide feedback, and help teammates grow.
