Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- At least 5 years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience for external candidates; internal candidates with exceptional performance may be considered with fewer years.
- Consistent achievement of sales objectives with formal recognition, such as top rankings, awards, or President’s Club.
- Demonstrated success launching new products and driving adoption in competitive markets.
- Advanced analytical and business acumen, including the ability to interpret market dynamics and identify opportunities.
- Ability to build and sustain professional relationships with gastroenterologists, advanced practice providers, and office staff in live and virtual settings.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint, Veeva Engage, Teams, Zoom, and other relevant platforms.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record; ability to travel extensively across the region, including overnight, and attend national, regional, and corporate meetings.
- Strongly preferred: experience succeeding in an overlay model by partnering with multiple sales representatives.
- Strongly preferred: experience as a peer mentor, field trainer, or facilitator, with facilitation and presentation skills.
- Strongly preferred: gastroenterology or other specialty therapeutic-area experience.
Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed sales objectives by engaging high-value gastroenterology customers across the region in collaboration with Territory Sales Representatives.
- Maintain advanced product and disease-state knowledge to deliver clinically focused engagements and address customer questions or objections.
- Assess regional market dynamics, access opportunities, and competitive trends to accelerate pull-through.
- Partner with multiple Territory Sales Representatives to coordinate execution and expand customer coverage in priority accounts.
- Support new-hire onboarding, field skill development, and workshops at regional and national meetings.
- Work with the Regional Sales Manager on strategic business planning across the region.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Training, Sales Operations, and other commercial colleagues.
- Complete administrative and operational responsibilities, including CRM use and expense management, in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
