Requirements
- Demonstrated track record delivering and operating mission-critical production services at scale.
- Experience owning high-throughput systems end to end.
- Ability to navigate distributed architecture.
- Ability to articulate project roadmaps and empower engineering cohorts to execute them.
- Ability to make technical decisions that balance immediate outcomes with long-term strategic goals.
- Technical leadership and judgment appropriate to setting architecture and technical direction.
Responsibilities
- Own the Configuration Platform team's technical vision, architecture, and system quality.
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain resilient, scalable systems while remaining hands-on in the code.
- Modernize the architecture for scale and advance enterprise-grade change management.
- Set long-term technical architecture and strategy across the organization, aligning business goals with platform capabilities.
- Partner with Engineering Management, Product, and Design to shape roadmaps and drive plans through delivery.
- Lead technical design reviews and establish high standards for code quality, testing, and operational excellence.
- Own service operational health by diagnosing performance bottlenecks, implementing optimizations, and leading incident response.
- Mentor engineers and sponsor Staff and Senior Staff engineers as they develop technical leadership.
- Improve engineering productivity, including advancing the team's use of AI tools.
