Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong general ledger ownership.
  • Have a solid understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
  • Have experience managing month-end close, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Have advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and reconciliation of large datasets.
  • Have experience with NetSuite and FloQast.
  • Have advanced Google Sheets skills.
  • Be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Have experience supporting year-end audits and working with external auditors.
  • Have experience in high-growth or small-team environments.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries, review general ledger activity, and reconcile designated balance sheet accounts during month-end close.
  • Manage accounts receivable invoices, payment applications, and aging.
  • Partner with the manager to manage and refine complex revenue schedules.
  • Manage daily cash operations, including approving inter-account transfers and title company wire disbursements.
  • Monitor company and investor cash positions.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and daily cash reconciliations.
  • Recommend workflow or software enhancements to improve accounting department efficiency.
  • Prepare and support monthly financial statements, consolidations, and multi-entity reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, including ASC 842 and ASC 606.
  • Analyze investor contracts to ensure custodial accounting requirements are met.
