Requirements
- Hold a four-year degree, preferably in business, engineering, or another technical field.
- Have 6–10 years of successful sales and business development experience in a quota-driven environment, with measurable results.
- Demonstrate the ability to prospect, sell technical services, negotiate effectively, and close business consistently.
- Have strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to explain technical concepts to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrate written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Have organizational, strategic thinking, prioritization, and time-management skills.
- Be able to manage a territory independently and work with minimal supervision.
- Be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Hold a valid Class C driver's license and have an acceptable driving record.
- Be willing and able to travel up to 60%, including overnight stays.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical or water systems industries is preferred.
- Experience using a CRM system to manage customer relationships, sales activities, and opportunities is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities while expanding existing customer accounts in the assigned territory.
- Build long-term customer relationships by understanding business challenges and providing technical advice and support.
- Develop and execute an annual regional sales strategy aligned with revenue and growth objectives.
- Manage opportunities through prospecting, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
- Conduct customer visits and job walks to understand project requirements and provide scopes of work to estimation and operations teams.
- Support bid and proposal preparation, aligning recommended services with customer needs and project requirements.
- Address technical and commercial objections by explaining the value and suitability of proposed solutions.
- Deliver customer presentations and educational seminars, and represent the organization at trade shows and industry events.
- Evaluate project opportunities.
