Requirements
- Have a minimum of 4 years of sales experience.
- Bring extensive experience in account management, prospecting, business-to-business sales, customer retention, and account growth.
- Have experience managing programs, business development initiatives, and complex sales opportunities from development through completion.
- Demonstrate consultative selling, negotiation, client management, and relationship-building skills.
- Be able to engage senior-level executives through presentations and strategic conversations.
- Develop account growth plans, identify incremental opportunities, and set targets.
- Bring business, financial, operational, and technology acumen, with analytical skills for interpreting customer information, data, and industry trends.
- Work independently while remaining adaptable, organized, and accountable.
- Have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office and other standard business software tools.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of office supplies, facilities and breakroom products, business furniture, print, and promotional products is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute account growth plans to increase revenue, profitability, retention, and customer value.
- Identify and secure incremental and renewal contractual commitments through consultative, value-based selling.
- Use prescribed sales tools and technology to prioritize activities, document interactions, and maintain account information.
- Partner with category experts and customer support teams to execute account strategies and identify additional product and service opportunities.
- Collaborate with revenue management on discretionary pricing while adhering to contractual requirements and account terms.
- Analyze customer data, industry trends, competitive dynamics, and buying processes to identify opportunities.
- Support sales opportunities and the implementation and adoption of customer programs.
- Consult with customers about purchasing processes, operational requirements, and product needs.
- Build relationships with senior executives and other stakeholders to support account retention and growth.
- Coordinate with customer support to address customer needs and account maintenance requests.
