Requirements
- Bring 6+ years of proven success in account management and complex B2B software sales, with a consistent record of exceeding multi-year quotas.
- Have at least 3 years of experience managing enterprise accounts and generating new business, expansion, and cross-sell opportunities within existing customers.
- Demonstrate experience selling software solutions to State, Local, and/or Higher Education customers.
- Understand public sector procurement processes, budget cycles, compliance requirements, and multi-stakeholder decision-making.
- Use a consultative selling approach and engage technical CXOs and senior executives.
- Have strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, including effective engagement through digital channels.
- Demonstrate prospecting and sales-tool proficiency, including Outreach, Dooly, Sales Navigator, and ZoomInfo.
- Be proficient with Salesforce CRM and disciplined sales-cycle management.
- Apply market and competitive intelligence to account strategies.
- Hold a college or university degree, preferably in a technical discipline.
- Be willing to travel occasionally for industry events and key client meetings.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage a high-value pipeline of software license expansion opportunities across an assigned SLED customer portfolio.
- Grow software adoption and identify cross-sell opportunities across the product portfolio.
- Conduct strategic account reviews and roadmap discussions with key stakeholders.
- Build relationships with executive, technical, procurement, and other senior decision-makers.
- Partner with Solutions Engineers to understand customer requirements and develop tailored solutions.
- Research market trends, competitor positioning, customer needs, and account intelligence to inform sales strategies.
- Develop account-specific go-to-market strategies for high-value opportunities.
- Navigate public sector procurement processes, budget cycles, compliance considerations, and complex stakeholder environments.
- Maintain sales activity, opportunity, and forecasting information in Salesforce.
- Represent the organization at industry events and customer meetings, with light travel as required.
