  • Have managed and scaled paid acquisition against CAC, CPA, cost-per-qualified-lead, or profitability targets, including eight-figure annual media budgets.
  • Bring deep expertise in Google Ads and/or Meta, including campaign structure, bidding, budget pacing, audience management, creative testing, and optimization.
  • Have experience setting strategy for external media agencies, managing execution quality, and transitioning agency-owned work in-house.
  • Have strong forecasting experience, including monthly spend and volume planning and adapting decisions when performance changes mid-month.
  • Have strong analytical capabilities, including comfort with SQL and product analytics tools and independently interpreting channel and funnel data.
  • Have experience developing or executing paid creative strategy with creative teams or agencies.
  • Be able to translate performance data into investment decisions and business recommendations.
  • Have practical experience using AI tools such as Claude for analysis, creative iteration, reporting, or other marketing workflows.
  • Be comfortable operating as a senior individual contributor in a small, flat, high-ownership environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own the paid media channel mix and in-month budget allocation across paid search, paid social, programmatic, direct mail, AI search surfaces, and emerging channels.
  • Manage campaign structure, bidding, pacing, and performance optimization.
  • Monitor qualified-lead delivery against targets and forecasts, diagnose performance drivers, and allocate investment toward efficient volume.
  • Own monthly spend and volume inputs for the marketing forecast and adjust plans as performance changes.
  • Manage Google Ads and Meta campaigns, including audience strategy for prospecting, retargeting, customer lists, lookalikes, and first-party data.
  • Design, launch, and analyze experiments across audiences, creative, bidding, placements, geographies, and landing destinations.
  • Launch and scale acquisition channels such as Performance Max, connected TV, podcasts, and expanded direct mail programs, establishing measurement plans before significant investment.
  • Develop paid creative strategy with creative teams and agencies, covering messaging, formats, testing frameworks, and performance analysis.
  • Strengthen measurement and attribution, including visibility into incrementality and offline channels.
  • Partner with analytics, product, and sales teams to optimize the funnel and transition performance marketing responsibilities from an external agency to an in-house model.
