Requirements
- Have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Product or UX Designer.
- Have demonstrated experience shipping products and features from zero to production and carrying projects autonomously.
- Have experience working in a SaaS environment on a highly technical product and in cross-functional teams.
- Have hands-on experience across research, problem definition, ideation and facilitation, UI creation, and delivery partnership.
- Have expert-level proficiency with Figma.
- Have experience working with and maintaining a design system.
- Provide a portfolio with at least one case study showing a project from problem statement to delivered solution and explaining the process and decisions.
- Have a good understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including the ability to assess feasibility and use an Inspector.
- Demonstrate proactivity and initiative.
- Have professional-level English and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Own design projects from concept and scoping through user flows, UI, release, and follow-up.
- Drive discovery by defining what to build to address user needs and studying competitors and best practices.
- Partner with Research, Product Management, and Development to apply insights, align on business requirements, and validate technical feasibility.
- Write clear design specifications and run design QA against design intent and the Kinsta Design System.
- Explain design decisions, resolve design and product deadlocks, and communicate trade-offs when priorities compete.
- Occasionally serve as Project Owner by communicating progress and coordinating releases.
- Build product expertise across product functionality, personas, and use cases, and translate that knowledge into UI solutions.
- Uphold design standards, participate in design critique, and help maintain and evolve the Kinsta Design System.
