Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA license required.
  • At least 8 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • At least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Experience in a small to mid-size organization.
  • Experience with commission automation software.
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite.
  • Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM for sales data reconciliation.
  • Preferred experience with Bill.com, Captivate, Stripe, and Maxio.
  • Preferred exposure to private equity or investor-backed environments.
  • Preferred M&A integration or system implementation experience.
  • Preferred advanced financial modeling and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the accounting department, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls for GAAP and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Improve financial workflows to reduce month-end close timelines and automate manual data entry.
  • Coordinate external audits and tax filings with auditors and tax advisors.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk.
  • Train and guide the accounting team and align its work with organizational goals and compliance standards.
  • Monitor changes in accounting regulations and best practices to improve financial processes.
