Requirements
- Bring significant experience designing digital products, services, or complex responsive web experiences.
- Provide a portfolio demonstrating visual craft, UX, and systems thinking, with examples of product, platform, responsive web, or systems work.
- Demonstrate deep fluency in Figma, including components, variables, libraries, prototyping, and documentation.
- Have experience building or scaling practical design systems for teams.
- Be able to work from foundational strategy, information architecture, or established creative direction across interconnected experiences.
- Understand accessibility and inclusive, usable experience design across devices.
- Work independently, manage a scoped workstream, and communicate proactively.
- Collaborate constructively with designers, strategists, technologists, producers, and clients.
- For Senior Designer engagements, independently own complex design work and contribute to systems and team critique.
- For Design Director engagements, provide hands-on creative leadership, guide workstream quality, and confidently guide teams and clients.
Responsibilities
- Design digital product experiences across desktop and mobile.
- Translate user journeys, product requirements, and creative direction into flows, interfaces, and prototypes.
- Create, evolve, and document component-based design systems, patterns, specifications, and reusable assets.
- Apply design systems across templates and surfaces, identifying gaps and opportunities to improve them.
- Balance user needs, brand expression, technical feasibility, accessibility, and delivery constraints with cross-functional teams.
- Present work and explain design decisions in internal and client reviews.
- Collaborate with engineering partners during implementation to help ensure the intended experience carries through to build.
- For Design Director engagements, guide design quality across a workstream, mentor designers, and work with senior client partners.
