Have 7+ years of experience building highly scalable, performant, and evolvable backend distributed systems.
Demonstrate proficiency in Spring and Java.
Apply backend development best practices, including clean code, domain-driven design, and design and architectural patterns.
Understand observability practices, including logging, monitoring, and tracing in distributed systems.
Bring expertise in Agile software delivery and experience driving process improvements across teams.
Collaborate cross-functionally across diverse teams in large enterprise environments.
Preferred: have strong experience in the sports industry, gaming, and content delivery.
Preferred: have experience with Spring Boot and React.
Preferred: understand Kafka and event-driven architectures.
Preferred: have experience with cloud-native technologies and infrastructure as code, such as Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform.
Preferred: be comfortable working in legacy and greenfield codebases across different languages and environments.

Drive the development, testing, documentation, and deployment of stable, scalable software into production.
Lead end-to-end technical execution of complex features and systems, from ideation and architecture to deployment and refinement.
Align designs across the department and promote clear, simple technical direction.
Partner with product, design, and other stakeholders on technical decisions aligned with business goals and long-term scalability.
Lead incident resolution in the on-call rotation, diagnosing and remediating critical software issues.
Conduct and elevate code reviews to enhance code quality.
Steer team planning and design discussions and optimize design patterns.
Improve software quality, testability, operational metrics, and team documentation.
Mentor and coach engineers at all levels.
