Requirements
- Have 12+ years of experience in technical program management, software engineering, or SRE.
- Have 5+ years leading and mentoring TPMs or managers of TPMs.
- Bring strong technical grounding in at least two of distributed data systems, Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure, observability platforms, or CI/CD, build systems, and monorepos.
- Have a track record of leading multi-quarter, multi-team platform migrations or deprecations at scale.
- Demonstrate the ability to frame ambiguous problems, identify a path forward, ramp up on new technologies, and drive initiatives to completion.
- Have experience delivering infrastructure for AI workloads or AI-assisted engineering.
- Bring deep familiarity with progressive delivery, canary and automated rollback practices, SLOs and error budgets, and incident management.
- Demonstrate sound business judgment, analytical skills, ownership, and the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Have excellent written and oral business communication and people skills.
Responsibilities
- Shape the technical direction of projects and meet stakeholder needs while maintaining quality standards.
- Drive phased rollouts and large-scale platform migrations from pilot through adoption and deprecation.
- Define measurable success criteria, including availability and SLOs, CI and merge latency, cost per workload, and adoption.
- Assess risks and opportunities and devise mitigation strategies.
- Communicate program progress, developments, and challenges to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Hire, develop, and coach senior TPMs and set planning, execution, and portfolio reporting standards.
- Lead programs preparing infrastructure for AI-driven scale, including developer workflows and AI-ready data platforms.
- Partner with engineering and finance on infrastructure utilization, cost attribution, and workload-normalized cost reduction.
- Drive cross-organizational reliability programs, including incident review follow-through, SLO adoption, and deployment-safety rollouts.
- Own Infrastructure planning rhythms across Data, Reliability, and Developer Experience.
