Requirements

  • Have run full-cycle recruiting for both technical and non-technical roles.
  • Be able to describe searches owned from brief through accepted offer.
  • Source candidates who are not actively looking and write personalized outreach that gets replies.
  • Present a company's story honestly and specifically, without a hard sell.
  • Manage several different searches at once while maintaining candidate experience.
  • Work independently and keep searches moving when the path is unclear.
  • Be based in Europe or the UK and regularly overlap with US hours.
  • Bonus: Have built or redesigned a technical hiring process, including interview loops, tasks, or scorecards.
  • Bonus: Have built a talent community or run employer marketing that led to hires.
  • Bonus: Have hired in the US market or for US stakeholders.
  • Bonus: Have handled hiring compliance, contracts, or background checks across multiple European countries.

Responsibilities

  • Run multiple searches across engineering and non-engineering teams, from intake to accepted offer.
  • Lead role kickoffs with hiring managers to agree on outcomes, competencies, and interview loops.
  • Write job profiles and adverts with the People team, tailored to each audience.
  • Pre-screen candidates, share shortlists with recommendations, coordinate interviews, and run debriefs.
  • Keep candidates updated and manage offers and closing conversations without pressure.
  • Find and engage passive candidates through sourcing, open-source projects, communities, meetups, and conferences.
  • Advise hiring managers on market realities and keep leadership updated with hiring metrics and progress.
  • Build talent-community and employer-marketing activities, evaluate what works, and stop what does not.
  • Improve interview loops, tasks, and scorecards, and document recruitment workflows.
  • Maintain hiring compliance across countries and coordinate contracts, background checks, documentation, and Ashby data with the People team.
