Requirements
- Have at least 4 years of experience in full-stack engineering or backend engineering.
- Have strong backend experience with Python and/or Node.js.
- Have good knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Be comfortable working occasionally on frontend codebases.
- Have experience or interest in scraping and systems that process large volumes of data.
- Have good knowledge of modern AI-assisted development methods.
- Be able to take ownership and work autonomously.
- Be based in Latin America.
- Speak English and French.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Python and Node.js.
- Own APIs, business logic, and data flows using PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Contribute to frontend features, approximately 30% of the role.
- Develop and maintain web-scraping and data-ingestion pipelines within applicable legal and ethical frameworks.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor and Copilot.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to turn requirements into scalable solutions.
- Improve the performance, reliability, and maintainability of existing systems.
- Participate in technical decisions and architecture discussions.
