Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Have 6 or more years of related Civil Engineering experience.
- Be a registered Professional Engineer.
- Demonstrate proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, and regulatory approvals.
- Have working knowledge of Civil 3D.
- Be able to travel for in-office activities, client and site visits as needed.
- Work collaboratively with others and contribute effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare planning and design documents in the appropriate engineering discipline.
- Perform process design calculations, prepare cost estimates, and use economic analyses to compare alternatives.
- Assist with or develop project scopes of work and schedules; complete initiation paperwork and support budget reviews and progress reports.
- Coordinate projects with other Olsson teams and perform and coordinate project design work.
- Direct team members on design tasks and coordinate the work of assistant, associate, and technical staff.
- Maintain project records, including correspondence, drawings, and files, and inform project managers of progress and problems.
- Coordinate with clients and attend client meetings.
- Assist with marketing and business development, including writing proposals.
- Serve as project manager on small projects when needed.
- Independently perform assignments on complex projects.
