Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or have equivalent years of industry experience.
  • Have five or more years of experience managing Revenue Cycle functions.
  • Have seven or more years of Revenue Cycle experience.
  • Demonstrate advanced written and verbal communication skills, including excellent grammar.
  • Demonstrate advanced reading and comprehension abilities.
  • Have advanced analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Have advanced multitasking, organizational, and prioritization skills, including the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and general internet research.
  • Have intermediate-to-advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree.
  • Preferred: Three or more years leading management-level team members.
  • Preferred: Experience with HCPCS procedure codes, ICD-10 codes, order intake, and benefit verification.
  • Preferred: Experience with Government and Commercial payor programs and requirements.
  • Preferred: Experience processing orders for Wearable Cardioverter Defibrillators or other Cardiac DME devices.
  • Participate in on-call and off-hour coverage, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop Customer Order Managers, setting accountability for operational performance, engagement, and talent development.
  • Coach managers and evaluate leadership effectiveness through coaching, development planning, and performance management.
  • Establish operating rhythms and performance standards across Customer Order teams.
  • Oversee workforce planning, organizational design, management structures, team capacity, and leadership coverage.
  • Lead execution of the Benefit Verification automation and AI roadmap, including prioritization, business cases, and delivery oversight.
  • Partner with Revenue Cycle leadership to evolve the Benefit Verification operating model, including outsourcing, span of control, shift coverage, and workforce planning.
  • Monitor payer, regulatory, and market changes and translate them into internal roadmap items with owners and timelines.
  • Establish and improve cost-to-serve KPIs, and report Benefit Verification financial impact to leadership with Finance and RCM Analytics.
  • Drive productivity and unit-economics improvements through automation, process redesign, and removal of non-value-added work.
  • Partner with Commercial and Clinical stakeholders to resolve barriers affecting order conversion, documentation acquisition, and patient outcomes.
