Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years of professional experience in sales within the education publishing industry.
- 5+ years of professional experience in marketing within the education publishing industry.
- 5+ years of professional experience and success managing complex projects.
- Experience developing and executing campaigns that drive sales.
- Experience with prospecting, lead generation, pipeline building, and closing opportunities.
- Experience writing RFPs and/or rubric responses.
- Experience writing marketing copy, informing and influencing design, managing print production, coordinating print and digital marketing, and managing events.
- Experience collaborating with Product Development, Product Management, and Marketing Services teams.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Google Analytics, marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot or Pardot, WordPress, Adobe, Zoom, and Slack.
- Experience managing people and demonstrated leadership skills.
- Ability to travel 15–20% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee regional go-to-market strategy to support sales revenue targets and territory goals.
- Partner with Sales Leadership to build and maintain a territory brain trust informed about regional needs, gaps, obstacles, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with Sales Leadership to develop and deliver regional sales events and meetings.
- Build relationships and communicate frequently with sales and marketing leaders, Account Executives, and Per Diems across the region.
- Lead marketing strategy and activities for current and upcoming state adoptions, including research, messaging, collateral, submission processes, sampling, evaluations, pilots, and selling.
- Provide field input to Product Marketing to inform national messaging and marketing activities.
- Manage responses to district questionnaires and rubrics across products.
- Lead regional marketing tactics supporting prospecting, lead generation, pipeline building, and opportunity advancement.
- Track regional adoptions, RFPs, policy changes, requirements, and developments.
