Requirements

  • Bring deep experience designing complex products, ideally in data-driven, enterprise, or workflow-rich environments.
  • Have experience designing AI-powered products and understand their unpredictable failures and generated interfaces.
  • Use AI tools fluently in your own practice, including coded prototypes that call real models, with tools such as Cursor or Claude Code.
  • Bring a point of view on the future of AI design and a track record of acting on it.
  • Demonstrate mastery of interaction design, prototyping, and information architecture.
  • Be able to visualize and communicate abstract concepts clearly.
  • Connect design decisions to measurable business and user outcomes.
  • Collaborate across technical, commercial, and operational teams to align around shared goals.
  • Balance craft excellence with strategic thinking and simplify complex problems.
  • Communicate and tell stories effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the end-to-end design strategy for Ivy’s AI experience, from generative UI to AI’s role in the StackAdapt platform.
  • Design how Ivy earns trust by showing its reasoning, signaling confidence, and recovering when it is wrong.
  • Lead complex, multi-team design initiatives from problem framing through launch.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Research, Revenue, Client Services, and Leadership to align design direction with business outcomes and customer value.
  • Translate data-rich technical systems into intuitive, scalable experiences that support confident and efficient decision-making.
  • Define what a good AI response looks like and partner with Engineering on evaluations that test it.
  • Build frameworks, patterns, and processes that improve product quality and consistency across teams and surfaces.
  • Drive design vision that balances usability, automation, and performance, including latency, streaming, and cost per interaction.
  • Mentor designers and contribute to design practices that support quality and consistency at scale.
