Requirements

  • Have a J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Hold an active bar license or be eligible to become admitted promptly.
  • Have 0–2 years of legal experience; law firm, in-house, government, judicial clerkship, and other relevant experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrate strong academic, legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Show excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accurate, thoughtful work.
  • Have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • Exercise good judgment about when to work through an issue independently and when to ask for help.
  • Communicate effectively with lawyers and non-lawyers across the company.
  • Have an interest in contracts and commercial work and a desire to develop drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Be curious about AI and willing to learn to use it responsibly for research, drafting, analysis, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and revise NDAs, vendor agreements, customer contracts, and other day-to-day commercial agreements.
  • Prepare drafts and redlines, research issues, and work with senior Legal team members to resolve negotiation points.
  • Research legal requirements and review product materials and disclosures; help prepare terms, policies, notices, and other customer-facing materials.
  • Research federal and state laws and regulations affecting Flex and turn findings into practical guidance for the Legal & Compliance team and business partners.
  • Support regulatory and licensing work by preparing filings, gathering information, maintaining records, and helping respond to requests from regulators, banks, and partners.
  • Assist with disputes, litigation, collections, and recovery matters by researching claims, organizing records, preparing correspondence, and coordinating with internal teams and outside counsel.
  • Maintain corporate records and support governance and other general corporate matters.
  • Work with teams across Flex to gather facts, understand business needs, and support timely legal responses.
  • Build and improve legal templates, playbooks, processes, and tools.
  • Use AI and other technology in daily legal work and identify ways to automate routine tasks.
