Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, operations, technology, life sciences, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, supply chain, or another highly regulated industry.
- Experience leading strategy, transformation, organizational effectiveness, or capability development within complex matrix organizations.
- Demonstrated success designing and implementing complex cross-functional operating models and large-scale transformation or operational excellence initiatives through sustained adoption.
- Broad understanding of Medical Affairs operations, including governance, contracting, vendor management, clinical drug supply, quality, compliance, risk management, audit readiness, and evidence generation.
- Strong planning, prioritization, dependency management, risk management, implementation, and value-realization capabilities across complex programs.
- Ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data, external evidence, and stakeholder insights into executive-level recommendations and decisions.
- Experience developing operating tools, dashboards, trackers, service measures, capacity models, decision frameworks, and governance mechanisms.
- Advanced AI and digital capabilities demonstrated through recognized certification, applied experience, or a portfolio of AI-enabled solutions.
- Ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders in highly matrixed environments without relying on direct authority.
- Executive communication, facilitation, problem-solving, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Approximately 20% travel, with domestic and/or international travel expectations determined by the hiring manager.
Responsibilities
- Design and improve cross-functional operating models across Medical Governance, Contracting & Business Solutions, Clinical Drug Supply, and other Medical Affairs capabilities.
- Assess current-state processes and implement improvements to intake, prioritization, handoffs, service expectations, escalation, documentation, and performance management.
- Lead the Medical Governance framework, including governance forums, risk and CAPA oversight, audit readiness, health checks, decision documentation, dashboards, and leadership reporting.
- Strengthen organizational effectiveness through role clarity, objective setting, coaching, performance management, talent development, succession planning, and resource allocation.
- Partner with Clinical Drug Supply teams on forecasting, planning, ordering, packaging, labeling, distribution, inventory visibility, vendor coordination, and supply continuity.
- Define transformation strategies, future-state visions, design principles, capability requirements, roadmaps, and value measures.
- Establish governance mechanisms, implementation playbooks, decision frameworks, dashboards, and tools to support transformation execution.
- Orchestrate change adoption across U.S., global, and operational delivery teams through stakeholder alignment, communications, capability building, and technology enablement.
- Advise functional leaders and senior stakeholders with recommendations, decisions, implementation plans, and measurable outcomes.
- Promote responsible AI adoption and use automation, analytics, collaboration platforms, and digital workflow tools to improve operations.
