Requirements
- Have 15+ years of progressive clinical research operations experience, ideally in community hospital settings.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in life sciences, healthcare, or a related discipline, or have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bring proven experience in operational assessments, process improvement, and organizational transformation.
- Have prior consulting experience delivering services to external clients.
- Demonstrate executive presence, negotiation skills, and the ability to present complex findings clearly and confidently.
- Demonstrate the ability to influence stakeholders to adopt innovative solutions.
- Have expertise in research operations technologies, including CTMS, EMR integration, and analytics tools.
- Apply analytical skills to quantify financial and operational benefits, assess risk, and design mitigation strategies.
- Have experience building C-suite relationships and leading large-scale change initiatives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Preferred: experience in both Oncology and Non-Oncology operations.
- Preferred: experience managing consulting delivery teams, including role definition, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Preferred: general management and P&L oversight experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of the clinical research operational assessment as the engagement’s subject matter expert.
- Interview clinical research staff and stakeholders across the trial lifecycle to identify gaps, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities in Non-Oncology operations.
- Collaborate with the Vitalief team to design interview templates and assessment tools.
- Compare Oncology and Non-Oncology operations to identify transferable best practices.
- Develop prioritized recommendations addressing immediate operational deficiencies while protecting long-term integration potential.
- Create a transformation roadmap to improve operations and coordination across the system.
- Provide project status updates to executive stakeholders and keep engagement milestones aligned and on schedule.
- Present findings, recommendations, and measurable next steps to hospital leadership.
