Requirements
- Have at least 5 years of backend software engineering experience.
- Have production ownership experience with services supporting high-reliability or financial workloads.
- Design, build, and scale service-oriented architectures using Go, Java, or a comparable backend programming language.
- Develop and operate distributed systems where correctness, availability, scalability, and data integrity are essential.
- Have experience with relational databases.
- Have experience with gRPC/Protobuf.
- Have experience with observability tooling and cloud-native development environments.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead technical initiatives, participate in design reviews, and mentor engineers.
- Apply sound engineering judgment when adopting generative AI tools, maintaining human oversight.
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture, design, development, and production delivery of financing products and features.
- Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and reusable frameworks for loan lifecycle management, risk calculations, and real-time financial position tracking.
- Improve developer tooling, testing infrastructure, monitoring, observability, and operational reliability.
- Partner with Product, Risk, Operations, and engineering teams to turn business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Lead initiatives to strengthen system resilience, reduce operational risk, and improve engineering workflows.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to technical design reviews.
- Use generative AI responsibly with appropriate human oversight to improve workflow efficiency and quality.
