Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 6+ years of business development experience in a healthcare communications agency, digital healthcare services, or the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry.
- Deep understanding of the commercial, medical affairs, and digital healthcare landscapes.
- Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding revenue targets, particularly for AI, analytics, or digital services in healthcare communications or life sciences.
- Experience with digital marketing principles and tools.
- Ability to convert business opportunities into contracts and drive sales initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to turn complex information into actionable insights.
- Leadership skills and experience developing direct reports.
- Ability to use approved AI tools for routine tasks, research, content creation, analysis, and workflow management.
- Ability to travel within the U.S. and internationally as needed, with required travel of up to 60%.
Responsibilities
- Develop tailored growth strategies that showcase Vaniam Group’s offerings and support contracted business in oncology and rare diseases.
- Deliver annual company KPIs and individual sales targets while cultivating client relationships.
- Build new client relationships and lead consultative discussions to identify opportunities and deliver tailored solutions.
- Present client-specific strategies and recommend additional services aligned with client needs.
- Track and manage sales pipelines and business development interactions in Salesforce.
- Monitor therapeutic, regulatory, and market trends in oncology, hematology, and rare diseases to inform client strategies.
- Collaborate across departments to develop offerings and incubate capabilities for organizational growth.
- Mentor and develop direct reports.
- Use approved AI tools to support organization, research, drafting, analysis, and workflow management, reviewing outputs for accuracy and confidentiality.
